Alleged Flight Incident

Reports link the matter to an incident on a commercial flight in May. American Airlines told PEOPLE that Flight 1276 was met by law enforcement at Los Angeles International Airport after concerns were raised by a customer on board, though the carrier did not identify Thornton or expand on the complaint.

Thornton’s Response and Career

Thornton has denied the claims. His attorney told TMZ he was not arrested or charged and that officers spoke with him briefly before saying he was free to go. Thornton became Wheel of Fortune’s announcer in 2011 and has other announcing and voice credits including The Price Is Right, The Soup, The Cleveland Show and Monsters, Inc.
