Why 'tradwife' feels wrong

Smith rejected the tradwife label, calling her marriage a modern partnership in which both spouses work. She stressed that cooking is her love language, both a hobby and her job, not an obligation she’s been forced into.

She also reminded critics—as she told Harper’s Bazaar in August 2024—that followers don’t see her modeling trips, traveling with a newborn, paying bills and creating content. Being placed in a narrow box because of kitchen videos, she said, is simply inaccurate.
